Counselling sessions

Sometimes it helps to have a space that’s just for you — somewhere you can pause, talk things through, and feel listened to without judgement. My counselling sessions are designed to offer that kind of space, at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults, working in a calm, relational, and integrative way, and you can find an overview of my counselling services in Belfast and online across the UK on my homepage. Sessions are shaped around you and what you’d like support with, rather than being tightly structured.

What counselling with me is like

Counselling isn’t about being analysed or told what to do. It’s a collaborative process where we take time to understand what’s going on for you, with curiousity and with care.

Some sessions might feel reflective and thoughtful, others more practical or grounding. We’ll check in regularly about how things feel for you and adapt our work together as needed.

You don’t need to have clear goals, and you don’t need to know where to start — that’s something we can explore together.

Some of the areas I often support

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might recognise yourself in some of the following, or you might be unsure how to describe what you’re feeling — both are completely okay.

I often work with adults who are experiencing:

  • Anxiety or constant overthinking

  • Low confidence or self-doubt

  • Feeling overwhelmed, drained, or stuck

  • Low mood or emotional heaviness

  • Past experiences that continue to affect the present

  • Difficulties with boundaries, people-pleasing, or self-worth

You’re also welcome to bring anything else you’d like to talk about. Counselling doesn’t need to fit neatly into a category.

How sessions are offered

Sessions are available:

  • Face to face in Belfast

  • Online across the UK

  • By telephone, if that feels more comfortable

I aim to offer flexible appointment times where possible with a mixture of evenings, weekends, and daytime options, and the counselling space is wheelchair accessible.

Accessibility and adjustments

I aim to offer counselling in a way that feels as accessible and supportive as possible. If there are any reasonable adjustments that would help sessions feel more comfortable or manageable for you, you’re very welcome to let me know. We can talk this through together, at a pace that feels right for you.
